Golden chrysanthemum fattens villagers’ wallets

Recently, the golden chrysanthemum flowers in Fengxiang Village, Majing’ao Town, Jishou City were in full bloom, attracting many tourists, and bringing new opportunities for the development of local characteristic industries and the integration of agriculture and tourism. Dried golden chrysanthemum flowers, as a high-quality chrysanthemum tea, are highly favored in the market and can bring considerable income to villagers through cooperation with tea companies and live-streaming sales of local Internet-famous people. This year, Fengxiang Village has planted 50 mu (about 3.33 hectares) of golden chrysanthemum, with an expected yield of more than 500 kilograms of fresh flowers per mu (about 0.067 hectares), and an expected output value of over 200,000 yuan.
